Special Occasions is located in  Stanford le hope, Essex
We have excellant rail links on the C2c london, Fenchurch Street to Southend line. Once you get off at Stanford le hope station, turn left, and walk for 1 minute. We are a big shop on the corner of the street, opposite the Railway tavern pub.
By car, we are 10 minutes drive from Lakeside shopping centre. If travelling from London, on the A13 carry on past the Lakeside turn off, until you see the exit for Orsett. Once you have taken this exit, you come to a roundabout, take the 3rd exit. Carry on straight until you see some traffic lights and a sign for Stanford le hope, turn right. Carry on straight, Once you have driven over the railway crossing take your second left. we are the big shop on the corner.

If you see a dress in a colour you dont like, remember that it can be made in a different colour. Infact some of our designers will make every single one of the their dresses in a choice of 70 different colours. So if you see a dress in blue, but would love it made in pink, no problem.

we will be opening the shop on the above Wednesday evenings especially for prom dresses, out go the wedding dresses in come the prom frocks.
The entire collection can only be viewed on these nights.
A small collection is in store at all times

Our prom dress service includes a unique recording service, ensuring no dress is sold to the same school in the same colour twice - a nightmare for any prom queen. However this means that if you leave buying your dress until the last minute, you may find the dress that you really wanted has already gone. It's a good idea to take note - First Come - Best Dressed!

It takes 12 weeks to make a prom dress, so make sure you order early

Bring a pair of high heel shoes along when trying on dresses

Not all our dresses have been photographed, we have a much bigger selection in the shop than shown on our website

Be open minded when trying on dresses. lots of girls come in saying they only want a straight dress, but after trying on, find out the full skited dresses look better
and vice versa
You can view our dresses on your own, but to try on, you must have someone, aged 18 or over, with you
